I don't build wheels on Monday normally to much post to do but I was riding these on Sunday.

Yes 26" tubular  with Geax tubs. Well I did a 50 mile race on these and they were faultless. To early to tell if that was luck or not but the ride and handling well no clincher I have tried has come close. Over bumpy ground and there is lots of that at thetford, the ride is smoothed out more but the main advantage is in climbing out of ruts, off camber corners, bumpy corners and the like, I just found confidence inspiring traction pulling out of all these things. I will be using them again. I will be buying a couple more Geax rims but but Chickens Cycles are dropping the line. I will try to find another source.

I built the wheels with XTR hubs and Sapim Race spokes. I will try out other tubs in time but for race day wheels there is nothing better. Light too. The rims weight 390g so the wheelset weighed 1573g. While you can built/buy lighter wheels, these have no weight limt and they are very stiff. I own a set of 1350g MTB wheels (that I built myself) and while these a good wheels, I prefer these tubular wheels.

These maybe more expensive than a tubless set up but the traction you get certainly makes them worth it for me.
